Methodologies adopted

For comparison purposes, and in order to be able to highlight the differences were adopted in this dissertation the SWOT analysis and Benchmarking.

  • SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) is a tool for analysing an organisation’s competitive position in relation to its competitors. In the context of a quality improvement programme, a SWOT Analysis refers to a summary of the gaps and positive features of a process following the analytical stage.
  • Benchmarking is commonly applied to a wide variety of activities that organizations compare their performance levels with others and/or identify, adapt, and adopt practices that they believe will improve their performance.
