ProcessPAIR is a novel tool for automated model-based analysis of performance data produced in the context of high-maturity software processes, such as the Personal Software Process (PSP)/Team Software Process (TSP).

The tool is currently able to analyze the performance data collected by PSP users using the SEI’s PSP Student Workbook or Process Dashboard, in order to identify performance problems and rank their root causes, and (in the future) recommend improvement actions. The analysis is based on a performance model calibrated based on a large data set from the Software Engineering Institute, referring to more than 3,000 users and 30,000 projects.

The tool is currently freely available to the PSP/TSP community. In return, we would very much appreciate if you give us feedback and suggestions for improvement by filling in the feedback form!  We hope that ProcessPAIR will help developers, instructors and coaches  analyze performance problems and root causes and devise improvement actions.

ProcessPAIR is fully costumizable for other processes, performance models and data sources by means of a simple extensibility mechanism. Please contact us if you are interested in other tool extensions.

See more information in our publications, download the tool, experiment with it and give us feedback!
